Their sweat made into our tears give life
Like water than nourishes the women

We are today

The burning rays of sun shine down
On my face

And I peel off my skin to unmask myself
And show the world that I can trust again

The salt of your tears

Untie my bound feet

Letting loose and dance to the rhythm
Of your heart beat I felt

When I was in your arms

Your arms were twisted into the strand of my black hair
As we cried
And played the strands like guitar strings that
Brought the song in me
I can sing now

I want to sing you this poem
To show you how beautiful you are

I want to cry with you again
And let the tears show my gratitude
